Microchip Technology EQCO5X31 USB Type-C™ Evaluation Boards are a solution for extending USB3 Type-C cable length. Microchip Technology EQCO5X31 boards use an EV40G35A Type-C Extender designed for the Host and Device side. The boards also use an EV23B43A Type-C Repeater facilitating the coupling and extension of two cables. These boards redefine the possibilities of USB connectivity.
Two USB connectors on the board, a Type-C plug (J2), and a Type-C receptacle (J1)
Plug is inserted directly into a Host/Device side receptacle
The receptacle would accept a USB Type-C cable
USB3 signaling signals pass through the EQCO5X31, where the signals are re-clocked and re-driven
USB2 signals are passively connected through the board between connectors
Two EQCO5X31 parts on the board to handle two lanes supported by the USB Type-C Cable and Connector Specification
Power comes from the VBUS lines of the Plug connector
USB Type-C CC lines are passively connected through the board between connectors
USB Type-C SBU lines are passively connected through the board between connectors
